Announcement of
competition 2006
The
competition will take place according to the following rules
Art. 1
The
competition is advertised by the Oreste Sindici Association whit
collaboration of Ceccano's City and it is called “Oreste Sindici
Prize”. It’s open to composers from every country and of every
age.
Art. 2
The
compositions admitted are those for all instruments, also uman
voice.
Art. 3
Only
unpublished works which have never been represented and have no
editorial bonds will be admitted.
Art. 4
The
competitors who wins, will accept the standard rules of the
contracts given by the Publishing Houses: Bčrben and
NET ART COMPANY. This contract or more information can be
demanded by e-mail at

Art. 5
The
competition provides 3 (three) prizes:
1st
prize
A
records contract whit the house Net Art Company and a
publishing contract with the house Bčrben (www.berben.it)
which consists of
production and distribution of the winner composition, a Merit
Certificate signed up by the Board of Examiners.
2nd
prize
A publishing
contract with the house Net Art Company
which consists of
production and distribution in Italy of the 2nd
prize composition, a Merit Certificate signed up by the Board of
Examiners.
3rd
prize
A publishing
contract with the house Net Art Company
which consists of
production in a “Net Art Company music anthology” of the 3nd
prize composition and a Merit Certificate signed up by the Board
of Examiners.
Prizes on an
equal footing (ex aequo) are not provided; also, the
Board of Examiners will reserve the right not to give any prizes
or part of them if there aren’t any compositions having the
characteristics to suit the competition purposes.
Art. 6
The
applications for participation will have to comply with the
following procedure:
*
The first closed envelop, marked with the letter “A” and
with a short sentence chosen by the competitor as a form of
anonymous identification, will have to contain the original
score in 4 (four) copies of it.
* The second closed envelop,
marked with the letter “B” and with the same short sentence as
envelop “A”, will have to contain what follows:
1.
Name, surname, address, telephone number, e-mail, place
and date of birth and nationality of competitor;
2.
3 pictures of the competitor (a passport photo for the
set of forms and two artistic ones for the press);
3.
A declaration where the author attests that the
composition presented is an unpublished one it is not a
prizewinner and has no editorial bonds;
4.
A declaration where the author attests on his/her own
responsibility to be in order with the rules and to approve
specifically the articles 3, 4, 6, 7, 10 and 11 of this
announcement;
5.
A curriculum vitae;
6.
The copy of the receipt for the payment of 75,00
-seventy-five/00- Euros (as application fee not refundable)
through a bank transfer in favour of: ASSOCIAZIONE CULTURALE
ORESTE SINDICI via Badia, 210 – 03023 CECCANO (FR) Italy- where
the reason for payment, which is “Premio Oreste Sindici 2006”,
will have to be specified.
* The third closed envelop,
marked with the letter “C”, will have to contain both envelops
“A” and “B” and will have to be sent to: ASSOCIAZIONE CULTURALE
ORESTE SINDICI via Badia, 210 - 03023 CECCANO (FR) Italy. On the
envelops “A”, “B” and “C” there mustn’t be any indications which
enable to identify the competitor. So on the envelop “C” there
mustn’t be the sender address, but there must of necessity be
the title of the competition. Incomplete applications and those
not in compliance with the indications listed in the
announcement, will be excluded from the competition as the Board
of Examiners will unappellably judge.
Art. 7
The
applications for participation as described in the art. 6, will
have to arrive at the above mentioned address within November
6, 2006. The postmarks put on the envelop at its departure,
will bear witness to this date. The Associazione Oreste Sindici
and the organization’s partners is not responsible for the
applications not arrived or arrived later than the expiry date.
Art. 8
The results of
the competition will be made known to winners through registered
letter or telegram.
Art. 9
The Board of
Examiners, properly constituted, will be made up of famous
composers and interpreters and it will:
· examine
the scores which arrived in due course and in the proper way as
established in the articles 6 and 7 of this announcement;
· give
the prizes established in the art. 5 after a judgement which is
final. There won’t be prizes on an equal footing (ex aequo)
and the Board of Examiners will reserve the right not to give
prizes or part of them if there are not any compositions having
the characteristics to suit the competition purposes.
Art. 10
Prizegivings
will be public with the press at the City of Ceccano. The
Organization will reserve the possibility to film or record with
any technical means available in order to possibly use the
recordings in a programme or for any other suitable uses,
without owing anything to the authors except the copyright
directly paid by the Siae or by any of its agencies on the
territory. At the end of the competition, the Publishing House
BERBEN & NET ART COMPANY, will start the production and printing
works as described in the article 5.
Art. 11
Competitors
mustn’t use their works until the end of the competition,
otherwise they are subject to exclusion from the competition.
Art. 12
If for any
reasons the competition or part of it can’t develop in due
course or in the proper way as established by the rules, the
Organization will reserve to take due measures and it will make
this known to the competitors through traditional and
electronical means.
Art. 13
For any
disputes, the Court of Frosinone is competent; the Italian
version will bear witness for all that concerns the
interpretation and application of the present announcement and
the Italian law will be applied.
Art. 14
All the
employees and the collaborators of “Oreste Sindici Association”,
Bčrben and NET ART COMPANY Publishing Houses and the members of
the organizing staff, are excluded from the competition.

A copy of the
present announcement is available at the City of Ceccano
library, at the Academies of music, at the sites
